Unhappy In Memory of George E. Dickey....cuimhnigh!!

Gentlemen, In December, I received word that my best friend, George, was lost to me, his family and the rest of his friends. A great warrior and great man, father and friend. He never wavered in his loyalty and love. I ask a moment in remembrance for him and if anyone is in the area, please stop by to remember him further. Thank you!
George, my best friend, my brother, I will miss you with all my heart. Make a place for all of us and hold down the fort! With Love and Respect, ~A~

Quote from the High King of Ireland, Cormac MacArt, "most important thing about being a man, is this, To be fierce in the battlefield and gentle in friendship". That was my George!

George E. Dickey

We have all lost a true champion and loyal friend.

George began his career in 1988 working as a salesman for King Wire & Cable in California. In 1995 he came over to Champion Wire & Cable in Phoenix. In 2000 George became Champion’s Western Regional Manager.

His bear like strength and gentleness, his unquestioned integrity and his fierce loyalty to his family, friends, his co-workers and his customers endeared him to all who crossed his path

George served his country in a US Army Special Forces unit as a Green Beret. He was an incredible single parent and he has raised four beautiful children; Alex, who will be twenty-one in May, Travis, who will turn eighteen on December 22nd, Sarah who will turn fifteen in January and Aislinn who will turn thirteen in April. George’s dedication to his children was paramount in his life. They were the driving force that kept him going.

George was two days short of his 42nd birthday when he passed of a massive heart attack on December 10th 2008.

He will be sorely missed but never forgotten by all those who knew and loved him.

A few days before his passing, George emailed a story byte to his friends that ended with a phrase which is a true measure of this man,

“We will not be remembered by our words, but by our kind deeds. Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath.
It's not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived!”

May he rest in peace.

From the recent email of his sister Melanie:

Hey -----,

Mel

I would like to thank all of you. I have kept in touch with his sister, Melanie and they are putting together a cd of pictures, music, etc. Hopefully I will have that soon. Thank you for your prayers. God Bless you all!
