Talking Special Extra Earnings for Military Service........

From 1957 through 1967,if you had military service earnings for active duty (including active duty for training). You paid social security and earned special extra earnings credits for active duty or active duty for training. From 1968 through 2001 you do not have to do anything to receive these extra credits. The credits are automatically added to your record. For complete information go to this site http://www.ssa.gov/retire2/military.htm .

After 2001, there are no special extra earnings credits for military service.

Old Guys....

Or the old Gals, lol. I got earnings from 1990-2001. Not too bad, 11 years worth. $1200 extra in earnings per year for 11 years is an additional 13 grand. I ain't complaining.
