MSG Richard (DicK) Reardon Gross

Born 12/16/1935
Died 12/23/1999
My Beloved Father, But never forgotten, for your deeds are well known with those that served with you and those that fought you.
On this day, I remember your memory with the fondness of my heart, your blood carries on in your sons and grandsons.
Rest now my father, for you have fought the good fight.

Once in lifetime
a light shines so bright,
so pure…That darkness is defeated in its presence.

Once in a lifetime
will an individual,
beyond all odds,
rise to meet the challenge.

Once in a lifetime
we will be given the opportunity
to honor them.

Let it not pass us by…

Let us shine brightly…

Once in a lifetime.

Let us help all to remember…

That within the human spirit lives the ability to rise up and overcome all odds…

if but once in a lifetime.

I knew your Dad in the A/2/7th when he was a TM SGt. A pic of him demonstrating the STABO harness is in my RT Team Leaders Handbook. He was a damn good man.

That is our policy.” You ask; What is our aim? I can answer with one word: Victory—victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival.-Winston Churchill
