2008 World Series

With the Chicago White Sux (no, that's not a typo ) beating the Twins, could there be a repeat of the 1906 World Series, where the Cubbies and the Sux (you can see who I'm rooting for) play in the series.

And seeing as how the LAST time the Cubbies won the W.S. was in 1908, against the Detoilet Tigers (hey, they play host city to the Red Wings....SUCK), and as seeing as how back in 1908 the Democratic National Convention was held in Denver Colorado, and here we are 100 years later.......

The DNC was again held here.....

The Cubbies are playing AWESOME baseball......

One can only Imagine.

Ahhhhhhh......the Cubbies in 6 against the White Sux.

Sdiver,

Being a former Chicago boy, I'm also going with the Cubs. They'll take it in 7.

I think I would have just requested the moderator delete that one.

Down 0-2, I really wish I could have seen Sweet Lou's post-game speech.

Hopefully they'll make a comeback Sdiver, to help with the process you may want to, I don't know, take some form of blunt object to Manny's leg.

Of course, that may backfire and somehow make that mutant a better hitter...if that is at all possible...

No goat this time S, nor cat either. Just plain crappy, choke job baseball. I feel sorry for all the fans who had to sit through that midget league baseball at Wrigley the other night. Nothing worse than making old ladies cry.

I didn't think the Dodgers could do it. Manny Ramirez is just amazing.

Uh...what....there's still baseball going on ???

Once the Cubbies were done, my thoughts turned elsewhere.

Hockey season starts in 3 days.

Several weeks ago had the chance to see the Yanks, Philllies, Mets, and LA. all in different venues(which was very cool) Really liked the Phillies, has nothing to do with being a hometown thing. They were the best team we saw play, young, aggressive, and very quick; but their pitching was below average in the 88-90MPH range. Whereas the other teams had some serious heat. My pick: Phillies make it to the finals and lose to AL team.
