Unhappy Sad News on Don Lassen.....
Static Line's, Don Lassen died at age 86. Just received my paper and read the sad news. A legend is lost. Rest in Peace......

I believe that SF is a 'calling' - not too different from the calling missionaries I know received. I knew instantly that it was for me, and that I would do all I could to achieve it. Most others I know in SF experienced something similar. If, as you say, you HAVE searched and read, and you do not KNOW if this is the path for you --- it is not....

There goes The Static Line...Don was The Static Line.
FYI--Don was a 504 guy who jumped at D-Day and Market Garden. I worked with him a lot and got to know him well when I had Tower Branch and HHC 1/507TH and we were getting the Airborne Memorial Walk put in.

Very sad news!

As Richard said, Don was the Static Line! It has been a couple of months since I talked with him. Pretty big loss for the Airborne community.

Rest In Peace Don!!!
