Chief Warrant Officer Ehud Banai

I spotted this picture on Militaryphotos,, Something about CWO Banai's looks that sent a warm fuzzy up my spine..

Maybe because it reminds me of what other parts of the world do for patriotism,,

or that we are kindred FOG's, the same age, and he kinda looks like me..

Congratulations to Chief Warrant Officer Ehud Banai and I thank you for your 40 years of service to the free world..

This week, Chief Warrant Officer Ehud Banai concludes 12 days of voluntary reserve duty in Jenin.

Chief Warrant Officer Banai was born in 1948 and enlisted in 1968, serving in such positions as combat soldier in the Nahal Brigade and the Nahal Paratrooper Brigade.

Between the years 1979-2001 he filled the position of Master Sergeant and commander of a number of bases.

Since 2001 he has volunteered, with devotion, to reserve duty twice a year, according to him: “to serve as a personal example to young soldiers in Judea and Samaria.”

There is one reserve unit that is made up of volunteers and is 100% a combat unit.

It is made up of volunteers like CWO Banai and I'm pretty certain this is where he serves.

Jenin is NOT a nice place to serve (or live for that matter)

Thanks for posting.

Ret10Echo

I'm having lunch with Ret10Echo today. After spending a couple weeks on the TX coast dealing with everyone's issues after Ike, his stach could look like the Chief's!

Thanks for the "yet"..... there Abu

I'll have you know that with sufficient wax applied the 'stache sustained little damage up to CAT-2 winds.
