Vermont candidate to prosecute Bush..

I don't know a lot about science, but it doesn't seem possible that this idiot could exist in the same state as Col. Maroney without it causing some sort of disturbance in time or space...

BURLINGTON, Vt. - Lots of political candidates make campaign promises. But not like Charlotte Dennett's.

Dennett, 61, the Progressive Party's candidate for Vermont Attorney General, said Thursday she will prosecute President Bush for murder if she's elected Nov. 4.

Dennett, an attorney and investigative journalist, says Bush must be held accountable for the deaths of thousands of people in Iraq — U.S. soldiers and Iraqi civilians. She believes the Vermont attorney general would have jurisdiction to do so.

Anybody ever read Jonah Goldberg's "Liberal Fascism"? He discusses how Vermont has always been an historic haven and breeding ground for far-left nut-jobs. It never fails to amaze me much inane and bizarre pyscho-babble these freaks can vomit up. I could bring up all sorts of rhetorical questions about Vermont but it would useless since these people are so far out of whack that there is no rationalizing their skewed thought processes.

my take--its a stunt to get her "free" publicity...

she's about as likely to prosecute President Bush for murder as she is likely to get charged for stealing air.

Oh hell, this is nothing. We do not have a lunatic fringe up here, we have the whole damn shirt. This person is just a product of the normal approach to "intelligent solutions" as reflected by the following snippet from a news paper article that appeared a couple of months ago where Vermont was attempting to figure out a way to solve its low birth rate.

Improving birthrates presents something of a conundrum for policymakers. Jane Dye, author of the Census report, attributes Vermont's low birthrate to its racial homogeneity and high education levels among women – factors not easily changed by government intervention.

Hispanic woman, who comprise less than 1 percent of the state's population, statistically have higher birth rates. The state's small Hispanic population, Dye says, may drag down its fertility figures.

Women in Vermont, meanwhile, are among the most "well-educated" in the country, and Dye says there's a negative statistical correlation between education and fertility rates.

"We could stop giving scholarships and financial aid to women, but I don't think that's a good idea," Woolf says. "Unfortunately there isn't a lot of policy leverage you can pull to address this problem."

Apparently, Vermont's solution sounds like they want a whole lot of mail order brides. This could solve the illegal immigrant problem in the SW

I love the countryside and the politics keeps me laughing. The major problem for the rest of you that do not live in Vermont is that with the low birth rate, our ability to send you a village idiot to replace one that you might have lost is dwindling and, of course, because Vermont females are so well educated you can only get a male idiot replacement. Of course, if they feel that Vermont women are among the most well educated in the country you sort of have to wonder what the metric for determining that statistic is when you have this jerkette running for office wanting to prosecute Bush for murder.

Well, if she brings G.W. Bush up on charges of murder then isn't she by default going to have to charge his entire cabinet, SECDEF, Secretary of State, Director of CIA, NSA and every congressman and congress woman that voted for the war in Iraq ? And, every soldier that actually shot someone, every pilot that bombed or straffed, every artillery soldier, et al ?

Guess she hasn't thought that far ahead, which isn't surprising.

Aiding and abedding, accomplices to murder ?

What Cool Aid do they sell up there in Vermont ?

What is Up with Vermont?

Senator Sanders from Vermont was interviewed by Neil Cavuto today and said the rich, who he wouldn't classify, are the ones who he wants to force to pay for the bailout. I guess that goes along with Biden saying yesterday it was the "rich's" patriotic duty to pay more taxes.
I agree someone needs to pay for this bailout if it happens, but it shouldn't be at the expense of the small business owners, etc that had nothing to do with this debacle. I want to know what Sanders views as rich, because if it is the same as Obama's view we are all in trouble.

She's a fruit, that's pretty obvious.

Every time I hear something like this about Vermont I can't help but think "Oh sh*t, the guys (and gals) on PS.com are gonna be bashing VT today!"

Can't blame you on this one, however...

Bernie Sanders is a socialist, pure and simple. His definition of rich will be one more dollar of wealth than he has. He is miss informed about most things, surrounds himself with psychophants, and plays on the fears and miss information that is prevalent in this most provincial of States. On the whole there are very good, honest, and fine folks living up here but most of them deal with daily issues that keep them focused on the more bucolic features of living in the country atmosphere we all enjoy about Vermont. The communication infrastructure is weak and the local newspapers have headlines more concerned about rotten sneaker contests and the deadly treat of urban sprawl than anything of significance on the national or international stage. The politicians up here have folks in Vermont thinking that they are carrying the burden of the global war on terrorism because per capita they have had more troops killed than other states. Of course in that total they count folks that have even a remote connection to the State whether they actually live here now or not. It is a different world.
