Soldiers & Sailors Civil Relief Act SSCRA

This info is primarily for NG and AR Soldiers who are or have served active duty time. Some may not be aware of their rights under the Soldiers and Sailors Civil Relief Act of 1940 (revised in 2003). There is too much info regarding this to list here, so I would advise visiting: http://www.access.gpo.gov/uscode/title50a/title50a.html for more information on how to save money while on active duty. Some creditors may retro-act the interest so you can get credit for past active duty time. The creditors won't tell you about it because they're in business to make money, but if you invoke your rights, they are obligated by law to lower your interest rates to 6%.

Whatever it takes to save a dime.
