US Embassy in Yemen Car Bombing

US embassy in Yemen hit by car bombing, rocket fire...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080917...t_080917092457

The US embassy in the Yemeni capital Sanaa was hit by a car bombing and rocket fire on Wednesday sparking a series of explosions around the heavily fortified compound, witnesses said.

The car was blown up in front of the entrance to the compound and gunmen in a second vehicle then opened fire on embassy security guards with rockets as well as small arms, one witness told AFP.

It was the second attack on the embassy this year.

I have been in this Embassy multiple times...

When people wonder if Yemen is really one of our allies...all of the dead from this attack come from their security forces protecting OUR people...

They lost over 10, as far as I can see...we didn't even have one injured.

"The U.S. official told CNN that Yemen's cooperation in fighting terrorism "needs to be better."

"Islamic state, the Islamic Law (Sharia) is the main source for laws. Indeed, many court cases are debated by the religious basis of the laws. For this reason, many judges are religious scholars as well as legal authorities"

Don't think the above two statement's ( key word here legal authorities) equal out to anything substantive happening from Yemen's government...Saleh I'm sure is a puppet of those responsible. my .02..........
