Pakistan - increased instability?

I notice that Pakistan is facing problems in reconstituting a government ( LINK ), and that issues like food and electricity are becoming problematic ( LINK ). A variety of other news items have come up lately, and most are not positive.

South Ossetia and Georgia have been in the news, but I wonder if Pakistan may not be the bigger story. Is their state headed toward chaos, with clear negative implications? Or, is it merely the media making something out of nothing?
