That Barack Obama believes otherwise casts serious doubt on his judgment and calls into question his priorities.”
I agree wholeheartedly

I did not think it was a "slam" as much as it was a respected veteran making a valid point. At least he had the stones to state where his allegiance was before making said point (unlike Susan Estridge trying to sandbag him with the "isn't your being here the same type of tactic McCain is claiming Obama has repeatedly used against him [McCain]?"! Glad he did not allow himself to get sucked into her liberal BS.

You ask; What is our policy? I will say; “It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us: to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy.” You ask; What is our aim? I can answer with one word: Victory—victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival.-Winston Churchill

Mr. Durant did a fine job holding his own with Ms. Estrich. What he said wasn't a slam per say, but it did drive the point home.

My Dad said me one day at a VA visit that I had no idea how good he had, Why? Because I went to visted him and went to appointments with him. He said, I had no idea how many of the vets only see the face of a doctor, a nurse or orderly. Which is why he volunteered for the DAV back whne he could.A

A little effort... a phone call, 5 minutes of your time or a new face can make a big difference.

Obama could have taken 1 hour or his World Tour practicing to be President to visit those that make his freak show possible. It would have earned him some respect from those that serve. And if he had taken the time he might have made a difference in someones life.
