BBC news show Blames "Green Berets" for My Lai Massacre
I just grabbed this off SFA.
I have already posted a complaint to the BBC and asked for a reply.
I would request the QP's do likewise..

Green Berets blaimed for My Lai Massacre
A few days ago, some famous BBC reporter named Sir Charles Wheeler died. From the obits yin all the press, you would think it was the President of the World. This asshole has been reporting anti-American crap since his first appearance before a microphone. Good riddance, I say.
But there is a serious issue involved here. Last evening, the BBC did a documentary on this guy's life as a journalist. At one point, while it was showing combat scenes from Vietnam, John Humphreys, who was reading the script while the film strips were running, told of how Wheeler reported in detail on the "Green Berets" massacre at My Lai". In other words, it was the "Green Berets" who committed those war crimes at My Lai!!!
Any member who would like to send a complaint to the BBC can go to the following link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/
Example:
Sirs,
My complaint concerns a Mr John Humphrey’s prime time broadcast on 22 July, 2008. Mr Humphrey’s, hopefully, was trying to educate some of the BBC’s viewers of the events that took place in March 1968 in a Vietnamese village called My Lai.
Mr. Humphrey’s incorrectly stated that the “My Lai Massacre” in which American soldiers of Company C, 11th Brigade, Americal Division killed Vietnamese civilians was carried out by American Green Berets. This report was false and insulting to every US Army Special Forces Soldier who has served or are still serving in this capacity.
This term “Green Berets” is generally not widely used in real Special Forces circles and signals a sign of false representation, the media or both.
The BBC should correct this error: Mr. John Humphrey’s should personally correct his mistack to his audience.

Amazing, on one news group I was in in the 90's, was a member who was in the Aero Scout unit that stopped it. It seems history is doomed to time with the media being the way it is. That will probably lead us to repeating it over and over again.
IMHO, Al Jazeera, the Soviet Union's Pravda, and maybe Tokyo Rose has more creditability than the BBC.

Similar to the (trumped up) hit piece done a few years ago by CNN!
"TAILWIND" I think it was. The left's dirty tactics never change!

Just received from the BBC:
Quote:
Thank you for your e-mail.
We note your concerns regarding references to the Green Berets made by John Humphrys in our programme 'Charles Wheeler: A Tribute', which was broadcast on 22 July.
We can confirm that following your concerns, the production office removed the offending references to the Green Berets prior to the BBC Four repeat last Friday.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to contact us.
Regards

You did well to get the references removed.
Thanks for your effort.

What do you expect from a country that has entertained the use of shira law and is afraid of allowing their citizens to carry a Swiss Army Knife.......
After watching "V for Vendetta" all I could think about was how true the point of that movie might be for the people in the UK.
A people should not be afraid of their government.

I sent in an e-mail complaint, after seeing the notice on the SFA board. So far no reply!

I just got off the phone wih a very snotty British woman who seemed to resemble a female canine, despite the fact that I couldn' see her.
If you wish to call and chat with her, I called on Skype for a few cents of air time at 03700 100 222.
So, the crux of the conversation was that she wasn't going to get into a debate with me as to why an appology and retraction was not submitted fo the above mentioned error. I registered a new complaint, which was probably promptly placed in the circular file registry.
A fine and additional example of why it was such a good idea to write The Declaration of Independance.
