18D at Bermel gives and ANA the finger...his finger

Not mentioning any names, but following a TIC, an 18D at Bermel a few years ago reconstructed an ANA guy's 5th digit that was damn near blown off by a bullet. It was hanging by a vein and other docs that were there recommended just cutting it off. Instead, he spent the next six hours putting the bone fragments together, thus saving the guy's finger. I know it may seem insignificant, but for an 18D to go the extra mile to save a finger is awesome. My hat's off to him!
