Did Pappy Finally Retire?

There is a job posting in usajobs.gov for a SOC Instructor. I am wondering in Pappy made good on his threat of retirement. It has been a couple months since I talked with him last and said he was finally going to do it.

As of about 3-4 weeks ago.. No Pappy is still at the Committee.

The Committe, has as far as I know.. 4 GS position. 3 Ret CSMs hold 3 with one Former 7th SFC holding the last. I know they had a EOD guy there.. But from what I remember. Gen (Ret) Parker didn't approve of the new EOD position within the Committee. Now that position is approved, by Gen (Ret) Parker, but I beleive it's not filled.

Papy and Ernie will still till the are told to leave. Which is never!!! Every Group Commander has been taught by these two greats!!

Pappy Salute

Here's to Pappy -- one of the best mentors a charlie pup could ever dream of having. If anyone sees him, tell him "Party Boy" sends his regards. He might remember me

HEY, Pappy can't retire. He is the most important part of the 18C course. I miss his long pauses as he stares off into the future.

Wow... I'm speechless.

I saw Pappy at Brunch before I left F-ville a few months back and he seemed more on his game than ever before with his new hip.

I hope Mr. T is still there when i get back.

Yeah I left SWCS around November and Pappy seemed just like himself. If Ernie leaves as well the C course would take a huge hit. Not that losing Pappy in of itself isn't detrimental.
