Taylor 35,

1. You were sent an email when you registered. Did you even bother to read it?
2. Your profile is not filled out. Refer to #2.
3. Your introduction sucks and is in the wrong place. Again, refer to # 2.

Now, I am going to get out of the way because I see a lot of boots headed your way.

When the majority of "older" team guys are, in my mind, not having the right mindset for deployments this day and age, it's hard to keep your mouth shut. It seems like those that have been around before GWOT are more useful for "Do as I say, not as I do." These guys seem to think group is a mere extension of their instructor rotation. Times have changed where you can get by by being able to be a good teacher and not a performer. Yeah its great these guys can teach shoot house SOP's and SUT SOP's, but how is it possible they can't do it themselves.
It is very obvious, once again to me anyway, that new guys have the right mentality of wanting to do their job of fighting and teaching, not just teach. These aren't JCET deployments anymore. These are deployments were you're gonna have to fight, not just teach monkeys and go home. I can say that this is the reason why turnover is so high right now. Guys aren't feeling like everyone is there to fight, there's alot of "Lets just get through this deployment" from leadership. There's alot of packets going in to SMU's right now because of this.
I know I rambled, but I guess I'm looking for some feedback from you guys that have been around the block more than a few times to see if this is a individual thought process on my part or if this has been around since inception.
Dude,
Who are you? What's you're background? Won't guess you're history. How 'bout a some info?
Heck of an intro...

I have to wonder about the intelligence and situational awareness of a kid who comes in guns blazing without even bothering to read the registration message, the rules, or the stickies.

From your blundering in and firing from the hip, you do not sound like the kind of guy I would want to serve with either.

If you want to stick around long enough to get feedback, you need to immediately read the registration message and the rules, and comply, before posting again.

Tempus fugit.

We're 7 years into a shooting war and you think the Regiment doesn't know there's "combat" afoot?

Good one.

I see I have ruffled a few feathers. Didn't mean to, for that I apologize. But you have to agree you have to expect alot out of SF, enlisted and officers, these days and if someone as "young" as myself can see flaws with this then help me out. The op-tempo doesn't allow for alot of wasted time.

Help you out with what? Nobody even knows where you're coming from but you're way off base with your "observations."

It's like someone asking you for directions without telling you where they are. Now you see why you're supposed to post an intro.

I wouldn't expect anyone else to waste their time on you if you do not give us the courtesy of following the directions of this site.

Tell me, how can I respect and follow unwavering people who have had several "dead man guns" during training; runs right between a simunition fire fight; has an AD into a firing barrel at a chow hall where other conventional units are waiting in line; would rather do a police call in uniform than do FID training in a wartime environment.
This doesn't sound like they are fully aware there's a real fight going on anywhere.
The first three would have a new guy no longer having a team room key.
I would like a little reassurance from someone saying that these are just a few isolated incidents, and that things will get better.
OK Junior STOP Posting and read this thread again.

The Reaper/D9/Warrior-Mentor, etc..etc...etc told you to READ the INTRO Message and do what you were told. STOP Commenting and follow your instructions from the QP's on this board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post and Intro in the proper place...... Re Read all post on all threads, Read all Stickies and search more.

I was going to post something after he got his FTFSI tag but deleted it. Sorry I did because after his next two posts - Oh, well.

Hey Taylor, one team is not all of SF, soldier hard and move to another team. Whats that? The other teams are full? Nobody else has room for you? Fancy that.

I guess sharing knowledge with an Infantry squad that's, getting ready to roll (patrol) outside the wire here, in 115+ degree heat ain't mentoring?

I'm starting too wonder about some these "new" troops and their beliefs that; we FOGs just continue to harass them for the "hell-of-it!"

Stay safe.
