That would be a pretty clueless move on the part of the Obama camp. Having a former General on the ticket isn't going to make people think of him as a hawk.

Someone as inexperienced as he is needs a seasoned consigliere. Someone that has a clue how to operate in that cesspool on the Potomac. Obama himself only has three years under his belt and two of those has been spent campaigning. He has no clue how to deal with the Presidency if he were to win. If this story has real legs than this is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to pander to prospective voters than it is to lead effectively if he should win.

He could have Colin Powell as his VP, and in the morning, he is still Obama!

Maybe he'll shoot himself in the foot and choose McPeak. Guaranteed to loose the vote of any Air Force member who was in 12 years ago or longer!!

First he has to hire and retain someone to the job of looking for a VP. Maybe Howard Dean, he simply has no clue and won't go away.

There is just a very loose feel to his entire campagin. It seems every week he has a major fire to stomp out. If this was not so critical, it would be funny.
