I would then say that IMHO, a Tanto is a cool looking but inefficient blade shape that is hard to sharpen and not particularly good at anything.
Whether to buy one or not depends on whether you have another knife to actually work with and if the CDI factor outweighs the need for a working edge.
Benchmade is a good mass production knife company.
I think if you use the Search button to look for Tanto on this site, you will find that this question, like most others, has been asked before.
