Tsgt David Keaton, an AFSOC pararescueman @ Pope AFB,NC, has been selected for the 2008 Pitsenbarger Award for lifesaving actions.

In describing Tsgt Keatons' actions, the AF Times reports," While Keaton was deployed to Afghanistan in October, he saved the lives of five civillian Afghans who were caught in a firefight. He couragesouly maneuvered under a barrage of gunfire to render lifesaving care to three children and two women who were critically wounded after being used as human shields by enemy combatants.".
