Chances of...
To all QP's :
What are the chances of a small police department getting some active SF guys to come and do a class on concelment and camoflage?
What we are looking for is a basic ghillie suit class and a few excercises with a live practical at the end.
We have no problem paying for the trip, food, hotel and beer. We just can't afford Howe and Vickers prices.
Thanks for time... Fraser

I believe that this would be technically illegal, for a number of reasons, not limited to Posse Comitatus, liability, and conflict of interest.

Might try one of the NG units. They could do it in a civilian role I believe...Some one may trump me on this though.

Well I am not sure what a MG unit is but...
wfraser:
Depending on where you are in Georgia there is a NG LRS unit at Ft Gillam(sp) outside Atl who may help you out on the side. If not them, try contacting the SOT-D (SOTIC II instructors) at Ft McClellan; some of the instructors there are former/current LEO who may be able to help you out on their down time between classes, dont forget the beer though.
Other than that, you are going to be out of luck for the reasons TR stated.

We used to do it all the time as long as there was a counter-drug connection. Contact these guys,

I don't know if Howe and Vickers are snipers, not everyone is...
Besides for a concelment, camoflage and ghillie suit class all you need is a "trained" Army, Marine or SEAL sniper.
