Question vfor the QPs

Any of the QPs out there from 5th or 7th work with civilian K9 teams out of KAF. This would have been around 2004-2006. I think 5th group would have been there first then replaced by 7th but it could have been the other way around.

5th Grp hasn't been in A-Stan since late 01-early 02. It was probable 3rd and 7th, and you'll have to narrow down the time line. There was a whole bunch of rotations in between the dates that you gave. I was there in 04 and 05 but not down in Kandahar.

I ask because i I trained those dogs stateside before they were sent over and the stories i have heard about what they were doing is what first interested me in trying to become a Qp myself. I apologize if any lines were crossed. The company Patriot K-9 Services was and still is owned and operated by my dad, but i still help out when I can. More specific dates were from march 2004 - september 2005

texasjack,

Have you considered volunteering for Special Forces through the Texas Army National Guard? We have several non-prior service 18X/Rep-63's currently in the pipeline.

If you are interested, send me PM or contact us via e-mail at ngtx-sf@ng.army.mil.

Regards

Just went to meps for my physical yesterday and i will not be signing an 18x bc vision was only correctable to 20/20 in right eye and 20/25 in my left eye so they said no. So as of now i think i will be signing an 11x with option 40 and worry about SF at a later date. I really only want to go active duty army but thanks nonetheless.
