Citizens react to Navy rule
COEUR d'ALENE -- A number of citizens and public officials expressed outrage over the U.S. Navy's decision to forbid its personnel from accepting commemorative Buck Knives as a "thank you" for serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Graham Crutchfield, a retired Marine, organized a commemorative knife program by raising money and publicity. More than 500 veterans have received special knives since the program's inception in 2005.
