NY Feeding Frenzy!

I thought I smelled chum north of my location and, sure enough, I was not the only one drawn to this place. There was a feeding frenzy, and here's what I had:

Kumamoto oysters with caviar and wasabi

Chilled toro with asparagus and bonito (or something) shavings

Spanish mackeral with winter greens and jalapeno dressing

Tasmanian trout with New York salad

Roasted red snapper with fingerling potatoes and peas

Grilled kobe beef with tofu, baby bok choy and foie gras

Sushi

Strawberry granite

Bento box with chocolate souffle and green tea ice cream

Who can guess the restaurant and my dinner companion?

Apologies to Doctor Doom; this was done on very short notice. You just don't have the nose for blood in the water!

It's not nice to talk about green tea ice cream if you aren't going to share.

Sharky, par chance?

Otherwise I'm out and other people can flounder around with guesses.

Fellow "shark"

Or fellow "bottom feeder"

Hence feeding frenzy

Am I right ?

That was my second guess. I'll won't carp on about it, though.

As I have pointed out before, I prefer "remora" to shark. Think of a remora as sort of a cross between a leech and a shark.

Last night was fun. Tonight, I was supposed to go to a going-away get together for a couple of associates in our firm, and then meet up with another forum-ite Cazador01, who's in town til tomorrow. Instead, I am sitting on my ass while the co-lead underwriters on a deal argue over whether it should be "7.000% senior notes" or "7.00% senior notes" on the cover of the prospectus.

We did it again, although at a less exciting place. Dr. Doom joined us this time. Only had my camera phone, which has no flash, so we took pix at the drug store across the street.

TS has the pix and will post them . . .

RL,

80% of the foods you named. I had a hard time pronouncing.
