March 15, 2008 @ 0900. Registration begins at 0745. Rain or shine: mid-March weather is unpredictable but is is usually around 50 degrees or so at race time. Free beer.
The run is a 5 miler on a flat course along West River Drive with water points along the way. There is also a 2 mile fun-walk for Marines.
Trophies to 1st male and 1st female finishers and medals to 1st-3rd finishers in your respective age group of which there are 7. Free Beer.
Registration is $20 if in by 11 March---$25 after 11 March. Kids under 18 registration is $15. Quality long sleeve shirts are guaranteed to all pre-registered runners and walkers. Free Beer.
The best part is that due to police sponsorship and the Irish nature of the run...there is FREE BEER and soft pretzels at the finish line for participants...yes you read it correctly. Festivities usually moves out to a local Irish Pub once you cool down. It's a fun day for a great cause.
