10 Cent Drinks....

Since I'm a Kentuckian, this joke is phrased the way it is. Feel free to substitute your favorite state rivalries.........

A retired Kentuckian was walking down the street in Indianapolis when he saw a tavern that was advertising "All Drinks, 10 cents" on the window. Curious, he went in to check it out.

"Come on in," said the bartender. "Can I get you a drink?"

"That sign on your window; 10 cent drinks. What's the catch," the man asked.

"No catch, all drinks are just ten cents. So what'll it be."

The man ordered a Grey Goose vodka martini. The bartender mixed his drink and sat it on the bar. "That'll be ten cents," he said.

"Ten cents; unbelievable,"the man said as he paid the ten cents. He tasted his drink and it was perfect, the best martini he had ever had. He finished his drink and ordered another one. Again it was only ten cents.

"Say, bartender, how can you afford to sell drinks like this for just ten cents," the man asked. "Grey Goose vodka is really expensive."

"Well, it's like this," the bartender answered, "Last year I won the state lottery and collected fifty-two million dollars. I always wanted to own a bar and so I bought this one. I've got all the money I'll ever need and so I decided that I'd sell all drinks in here for just ten cents. I've got a lot of real happy customers and I'm having the time of my life."

"That's a heck of a story," the man. He ordered another martini and then noticed a rather seedy looking guy sitting in the back of the bar at table not drinking.

"Hey, bartender. How come that man down there's not drinking?"

"Oh, that guy's a Hoosier. He's waiting for happy hour when the drinks will only be a nickle."
