John Kerry Endorsed Obama

This was announced this morning, and the pundits are all trying to decide if this is going to help him or hurt him against Clinton. From what I understand he still has a very vast networking/fundraising system that Obama could use to his advantage. But the past has shown that endorsements like this don't really mean much in the long term, ie Al Gore's endorsement of Howard Dean.

What are your thoughts?

Does not surprise me. One of the speculation about the last election was that Bill C. really did not want to stump for Kerry. That he planned his operation at a convenient time to use as a excuse to avoid doing so.

Reason given was that if Kerry would have won, It would be 8 to 12 years later before Hillary would be able to get a shot at the Presidency.

In the D camp, Obama and Hillary race just might be fun to watch.

Fishing for a VP or Cabinet post, perhaps, with who he perceives to be the front runner.

I was thinking it could be the kiss of death. Very interesting he chose not to endorse his former running mate...
