Well,
Daughter # 2's boyfriend made it back into town for the Holiday Weekend. He had finished basic out at Ft Lost in the Woods and is now up at Ft Lee for AIT.
His Basic Training Company had a DVD of his cycle. Mostly still pictures but some video. For any of the old timers, it appears to be pretty much the same. DIs not as mean, little more focus on starting IVs and MOUT Ops near the end. The CS Chamber still has the same effect on young troops
, lots of snot, tears, red faces and spitting.
Those three story brick barracks with the cement ledges that I stayed in while I was at AIT are still there.
Nice to see all those young troops who volunteered to serve our country.
