Firefox 3 beta

The Firefox 3 beta has a memory leak on my machine (XP Pro, patches up to date, 4 Gb ram), with close to 1 gig of memory consumed after a typical browsing session.

YMMV -- I've read positive reports -- but you migh want to wait for the next version before trying this, especially if you are on a box with 1 Gb of ram or less.

I am running Firefox and how does one determine if they are suffering from a memory leak?

<Ctrl><Alt><Delete> to display the Windows Task Manager, go to the Processes tab, find Firefox in the Image Name column, look at the Mem Usage col.
