Boots

Just trying to get this thread going now that it is open.

I have tried E-bay pretty consitantly and is usally hit or miss anyways. I have also found only 1 company that sells desert used boots and not leather jungles.....

Any or all help would be appreciated.

You might want to review the rucking, boot, and feet threads.

It is not just breaking in the boots, but your feet to them. If the calluses on your feet don't match the pressure spots on the boots, you better have plenty of moleskin.

As far as used boots go, most of the surplus stores in the Bragg area seem to carry them.

BTW, there is no such thing as a leather jungle boot. Contradiction in terms.

I've got Altama Jungles size 8 D's that are worn in enough to allow for both water and air to enter and exit without the need to be submerged in water.

They've also got about 40 or so jumps and a couple hunded miles logged on them. You know the saying...................priceless !
