California Family Loses Second Son in Iraq
CLOVIS, California — A California family has lost its second son in Iraq — one of 14 U.S. soldiers killed in a Black Hawk helicopter crash on Wednesday, friends said.

And their third son is also in the Army.

Saw this on Fox News, they had footage of the father and the remaining brother.
It's a heavy and unbearable price this family has paid for all of us...never forget.
RIP.

Biggest thing I hate about staying in academia so long to become a Doc is the total lack of awareness by the majority of my classmates about anything military.
NEVER FORGET is right.

Seen it this morning before...
A meeting... NOTE-TO-SELF: Never read something like this and hold a meeting with a bunch of liberals.
RIP!
Stay safe.

As a Father with a son in the combat zone, I know the fears the family lived with on a daily basis. I can't imagine the pain and anguish the family is going through after the loss of two sons. I pray that God will comfort them during this period.
Such a heavy price for one family to play for all of us to enjoy the freedoms we have and those the Iraqi people are struggling to find.
Rest in Peace, young troop - you fought the good fight.

Sobering...
This is difficult to hear. Many of the things I read on this site I don't share with my wife - this is one of them.
We got a call from my 19 year-old combat medic son today. He will be posted with his squad on the outskirts of East Ramadi to embed with an Iraqi police station. He's the only medic for the IP station. According to my son Mike, they will be fairly isolated - across town from the main gringo base.
My 22 year old 18 X-ray is in the middle of his second week at camp Mackall for SUT - He's an 18E; studying Arabic.
My 24 year-old is a reserve quartermaster for a Chinook Helo unit in Garner Kansas...He's still waiting to get deployed. He was the first among the three in Uncle Sam's Gun Club, but he's still waiting.
I've got to believe that the odds of two out of three young men in the same family being killed among 4,000 deaths in a 2 million person military over six years is extremely unlikely.
Nevertheless, my sons’ mother will hear none of this.
Three Soldier Dad...Chuck

Yes seeing sacrifices like these and then having to put up with liberals gives one the overwhelming urge to reach out and smack them. Hard.

As a parent I can think of only one word, horror.
May God bless this family.

Maybe the U.S. Army should give the third son a pass on combat deployments. Would anybody here or his fellow brothers in arms object ?
I can't begin to fathom the loss this family is enduring.
RIP Soldiers. Your watch is over.
Executive Mansion,
Washington, Nov. 21, 1864.
Dear Madam,
I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle.
I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.
I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.
Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,
A. Lincoln

According the video report the third son already has been given the option of never going to a combat zone again.
