Iran-Iraq War

Are there any good books or articles on this war that provide historical lessons for the current conflict?

Have you seen the book, The Shia Revival? It's written by Vali Nasr. May be a good one to read, he touches on the subject. How Iraq and Iran were enemies, and now things are totally different. Not sure if it'll be exactly what you're looking for since it's not specific to just that war (but the longer history between the two areas), but I'd be willing to send my copy your way.
