I would think that you could get the same imagery, or better from Google Earth or Terraserver.

Given the many sites where imagery is already available, what is the concern?

Passwords are notoriously weak. And merely securing the FTP site is far from sufficient.

There's no way to tell from the article what kind of imagery it was.

In anycase, I think its the schematics and technical drawings that were the bigger concern.
