I'm obviously no expert, but the description of SF background on the resume looks fishy to me. Poser?

I think NDD was being sarcastic...

I was going to drive over there and ask until; I read the entire story....

Stay safe.

It would take a little more info but it appears he didn't make a big deal of it. 1974 was the same year I went through the Q Course. My AIT Company Commander had me send in an application for the prep school. I got the rejection letter about the same time I graduated the Q Course.

Smart kid who enlisted for SF, turned in a WP Prep School application, was accepted but then didn't commite/failed/didn't make the cut and got out. It's possible.

A guy my age who would take out his wife and kids? I just can not see that. He's dead, his family is dead - let the story die also.

I'll be 52 in October. I was a Q Course grad and on an A Team by Nov 74.

There were a great many one term young guys floating through the Groups at that time. Most were simple barracks rats that pulled post support, did a few Bold Eagles/Solid Shields and maybe one OCONUS trip and then got out.

Like I said, he didn't appear to make much of it on his resume - it was a simple entry at the start of his life.
