Liberals Want End of 'Right-Wing Radio'
http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2...732.shtml?s=ic
Any chance their low rating is effected by talk radio?

I read that yesterday. It is no surprise as it is just another form of social engineering. If you can't compete, than the government should step in and create an artificial balance under the guise of fairness. Too bad they aren't demanding that they extend that practice to print and television where they have a stranglehold.

Where is the ACLU to defend the free speech and 1st Amendment rights of millions of Americans?
Well?

They are too busy allowing footbaths for Muslim prayer at the University of Michigan.

I can answer with one word: Victory—victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival.-Winston Churchill

Didn't you get the memo?
It only applies to Christian religions.

I hear about this on Colin Cowherd's show this morning (ESPN radio). I liked his take, which was to ask why they don't complain about liberals in TV and print media.

Considering the liberals tried and failed miserably with talk radio (Air America Radio) government regulation is probably the only way that a liberal radio show could stay in business. I find it somewhat humorous though the seeming leftward leaning of journalist donations:

If liberals want to regulate the airwaves, perhaps they should regulate the partisanship of all media.

Nine to one bias in the MSM, according to those who actually admitted to donating to political causes. Never mind the moveon.orgs out there that are collecting.
I would think that if large numbers of people did not listen to talk radio, they would be unable to find sponsors. Clearly, the listeners are happy, as are the sponsors and stations. Where is the problem?
Where are the liberal listeners and ad accounts? Is that the problem? No one wants to listen to it and advertisers see no point in buying commercials on it? Again, where is the real problem?
Which side seems to attract the most listeners? Why is that?
Will the government regulate the material we listen to and the marketplace now?
I think the left wing of the Democratic party is seriously delusional. Kind of like the Nazis and the Klan, thinking that everyone secretly agrees with them.
Why not just go back to the old Soviet radios with no tuning knob. One channel, one message, one point of view, all of the time. Kind of the way that the MSM likes it.

Wait, do you mean that the free market is able to effectively meet the demands of society without government involvement? This idea sounds impossible

The saddest part of this story is that it's not just the "progressives" doing this. Even the supposed conservatives want to silence talk radio when it is critical of them.

Lib, Con, or whatever...anyone who talks or speaks out about the poor performance of government...They ALL want to silence. Radio reaches millions of people.
OTOH...I'm waiting for them to attack a local radio station I listen to..They have a young grade schooler give the Pledge of Allegiance every morning around 8:30.
EDIT: I saw the poll about TV broadcasters and their contributions to political parties...wonder how the same poll would come out with radio?
