From another Hill favorite:
Tauscher, D-Calif., a member of the House Armed Services Committee, said Pace lost standing among members in March when he said homosexual acts were immoral and that the military should not condone the behavior by allowing gays to serve openly. He later apologized, including in a personal letter to Tauscher, for expressing what he said were his personnel views.
Tauscher said his comments on gays "showed his ignorance" and "had to be deeply discounted because they came from a man who had presided over a war that we got into on a lie and what I consider to be a serious dereliction of duty in having our troops and our readiness so destroyed by the policies of this administration."
And their qualifications for determining the competency of a distinguished military veteran is........

The clock is winding down on Harry's Senate career. Even the people of Nevada can no longer stomach his BS. Three years from now he will be an unpleasant memory like Tom Daschle.

Good letter. It will probably be ignored by that pompous jackass Reid.

Let me first make clear that I think Reid is an abomination and it kills me that he calls himself a Mormon. I'm not sure how it's possible, but apparently he's a good standing member of my church - but that's none of my business.
I always find it interesting that while the press and Democrats like to "wonder" if Romney would be controlled by the LDS church if elected, no one wonders if Reid is being controlled by the same church in his politics. The press never mention that Reid is Mormon. Not that I'm not thankful for it, but it is ironic. So long as he's a leftist whack job on their same agenda, it's cool, they aren't going to try and marginalize him in any way.
There is no way I could go to church with him. I'm not sure how his congregation does it since the VAST majority of Mormons are very Republican.

The leadership is incompetent and the war is lost.
He has no solution other than running away.
Any other helpful advice, Senator?
