Army Monopoly
So I was browsing amazon dot com, and came across Army Monopoly. It's really pretty cool, custom pewter pieces include a Bradley Tank, Apache Helo, Boot, DI cover, Humvee, and a Cargo HEMTT. Properties are the Pentagon, Ft. Bragg, West Point and various other Army bases. And instead of houses and hotels they have custom Battalion and Division pieces. And custom Army money.
Thought some of you might enjoy it.

Duh - of course! It has a turret on it, so it has to be a tank. Didn't you see the movie "The Pentagon Wars"? It was a take-off on the Bradley's 13-year development program going from a simple armored personnel carrier to replace the M-113 to what it is today.
Sorry - that was a cheap shot. Had a lousy day at work.

Qualification for tank status being???
Armor? Primary weapon system? Being in posession of a slip ring? Treads rather than Wheels?
Then what of the Sheridan?
I'm so confused

I called my Bradley my mini-panzer. I liked it a hell of a lot better than my Abrams. It's a great vehicle for aggressive, forceful recon in the desert but, overall, quite possibly the worst tracked reconnaissance vehicle ever.

Hmmm...M-551 Armored Recon Vehicle, 152mm gun/launcher, air-droppable (almost). I watched them drop a Sheridan at Bragg (Sicily DZ) as part of a Brass Strike demonstration. Half the chutes failed to open - it landed almost dead center in front of the reviewing stands - about 200 meters out. All you could see was the turret sticking out of the ground. Definitely not driveable!
Who came up with the idiotic idea of running the wires for the tube launched missle out the gun tube? After firing the missile, did someone climb out and pull the wires out of the tube befire firing a conventional round?

Great idea. What better to play Combat Monopoly with than an Army set! I've seen Monopoly at the ASOM but it seems like it a Special Ops edition.
My husband's favorite trick is dropping his marker on my hotels and houses. He calls it demo and refuses to pay up. Paper cuts from trying to get the money out of tight fist are the worst though.
