You are correct.
I just want to know how one was hit in the face and the other in the leg from one round?
Stupid is as stupid does.

The report I read said that one was hit in the face by Shrapnel. I think they meant bullet/jacket splatter.

Thanks Blake.
I've been hit with bullet/jacket splatter about 100 times maybe more, none required a trip to the hospital.

TS,
It was either take that route and go with the obscure reference or the obvious "don't ask, don't tell" reference that was way easier.

I heard a news report that the last words the USSS agent uttered before the ND were.... "this is a Glock 40 and I am the only one in this booth responsible enough to handle it".
On the plus side maybe this guy can file suit against the USSS for inflicting undue stress by releasing the story to the press.

What is the issue sidearm for the USSS - is it a Glock? It may be big and ugly, but I like my S&W 5906 - very positive safetys.

"Two Secret Service officers were injured on Tuesday after a gun held by another Secret Service officer accidentally fired inside the White House gate...."
I find this highly improbable, and am offended at yet another effort by the MSM to make inanimate objects responsible for stupidity, and not the idiots who caused it. The gun didn't do a thing, but to function as intended under human input.
This leads to gun bans and more stupid laws.
The sentence above should read:
"Two Secret Service officers were injured on Tuesday when another Secret Service officer negligently discharged his weapon inside the White House gate...."
The two officers are being treated for their injuries, the third has been relieved of his duties (and weapon) pending a trial and medical treatment to remove his head from his ass.
Said employee will be tattooed across the forehead with a big "L" and will have a permanent resume entry that reads, "Not to be employed in a position requiring responsibility, good judgement, handling of firearms, machinery, or sharp objects. May be an asset to the fast food industry, if closely supervised."
Four, count them FOUR safety rules to remember, and he screws up all four of them.
RULE I: ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
RULE II: NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY
RULE III: KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
RULE IV: BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET, AND BEYOND
