CNN to air CSAR program

Just thought I'd pass this along. This looks to be a good program.

CNN, Headline News Offer Rare, Behind-the-Scenes Look at Frontline Rescue
Correspondent Alex Quade Profiles Elite Military Team Charged with Rescuing Troops in Field of Combat

Operating under the motto of “That Others May Live,” the Guardian Angel Weapons System assembles pararescuemen, combat rescue officers and specialists of survival, evasion, resistance and escape into an elite team tasked with rescuing military personnel from the fields of battle in Iraq and Afghanistan. Pilots and aircrews, special helicopters and fighter aircraft round out the Combat Search And Rescue team.

Through unprecedented access, The Situation Room on CNN/U.S. and Glenn Beck on Headline News tell for the first time the story about these specialized rescue units from the frontlines and with never-before-seen war zone video and pictures.

These reports extend across multiple platforms, airing the week of Monday, March 19, during The Situation Room and Glenn Beck. The Situation Room airs on CNN/U.S. each weekday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Glenn Beck airs each weekday on Headline News at 7 p.m. with replays at 9 p.m. and midnight. All times Eastern.

In “Combat Search and Rescue,” CNN correspondent Alex Quade takes viewers behind-the-scenes to reveal what it takes for a rescue helicopter to hover as low as six inches above buildings in urban areas amid enemy fire to hoist injured military personnel to safety. Amid her reporting, Quade and viewers experience – in full - a mass casualty situation in the water as well as a covert mission in the dead of night.

In addition, Quade will provide special reports for CNN.com, which will be available next week at www.CNN.com/CNN/Programs/beck.combat/ A preview of the series will also air on various CNN/U.S. and Headline News programming on Saturday, March 17, and Sunday, March 18.

CNN Worldwide, a division of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., a Time Warner Company, is one of the world’s most respected and trusted sources for news and information. Its reach extends to nine cable and satellite television networks; one private place-based network; two radio networks; wireless devices around the world; four Web sites, including CNN.com, the first major news and information Web site; CNN Pipeline, CNN.com’s premium live video news service; CNN Newsource, the world’s most extensively syndicated news service; and partnerships for four television networks and two Web sites.
