3rd SFPD loss this year.
RIP brother, prayers out to his family. His wife and father in law are both SFPD officers and he just got married two months ago. This is the 3rd SFPD Officer loss of the year.
I was pulling into the empty parking lot at work, when my cell phone started ringing. Specialist cops were calling me advising me about a working "406" (City Wide Officer Down). I got dressed and kicked out the midnight watch and went to the hospital. Pretty sad scene since Bryan's wife (also SFPD) was starting work at an adjacent station which shares the same radio channel. She pretty much heard the whole thing and was at the hospital when the ambulance arrived.
Of course all the brass showed up to include a very drunk Mayor. I'm sure our POA President will put out another scathing press release on the lack of a judical system in our city.
