LASIK waivers

I've searched this site as well as others but could not find the answer. Maybe one of you on this board knows. Is SFAS/SFQC currently accepting LASIK waivers? The only thing I've read on this subject is that waiver may be accepted if the Soldier is put into a study program. Also, in HALO and SCUBA school LASIK is non-waiverable. However, I've never heard of anyone that was successfull in getting a waiver for SFAS/SFQC. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Are you familiar with the search button in the upper right hand corner?

I know it sounds like a long shot, but try searching for "LASIK".

Reaper,
I did use the search function but I could not find what I was looking for. I'm still waiting for the SF recruiter to return my email for the straight poop. From everything I've read it looks like waivers are given on a case-by-case basis depending on many factors(pre-LASIK eyesight, MOS, timing, etc). I was just wondering if there were anyone that was successful in getting a waiver. I guess I won't know until I take my physical.

What has happened with others will not matter.

Each case will be adjudicated on its own merit.

The important thing for you is what happens with your case, and you will not know that till you get it back.

Good luck.
