Professional Soldier Edgar Antenor Vanegas Manrique
KIA 14 November 2006 near Villa Hermosa, Caquetá, Colombia while conducting hostage rescue operations. Private Vanegas, nicknamed "The Baby" for being the youngest member of his class, was a student of mine and KG's and a good soldier who gave everything he had in training. He never complained and always had his head right.
His loss will be mourned, but by God they got their hostage safe and sound.
