I wonder how many voters have buyers remorse right now.

Just wait until the "conservative" Democrat freshman House members show up for their first meeting on Capital Hill. Just about everything they campaigned on will be out the window.
Better stock up on ammo, mags and short guns while you can.

That did not take long. It begins....

Exactly.
I do not think the next two years will deliver the results and voting record that we advertised or expected by the constituents.
As I predicted, I hope that this will reflect in the 2008 race and the voters do not buy another pig in a poke.
And I pray that the POTUS has the huevos to use the veto pen when necessary.

He hasn't before.....little chance of that now.

What can it cost him and why should he not?
Stand up and be counted or die on your knees.

Looks as though I may need to make a decision on an M-4 clone while there is still a decision which can be made.

I suspect that POTUS is looking at the bright side. At least now he can push his amnesty plans through with little opposition. Or is that the cynic in me talking?

He also hasn't had a completely Dem-controlled congress before. I expect (hope) that he will not be as reluctant with the veto as before.
It will be interesting to watch voter opinion of the Dems as they reveal their plans. I can't imagine it will do anything but help Repubs in '08. We'll see...

If they're smart (big assumption) they won't show their colors, they'll stick with how they got to the dance: hammer the GOP on corruption, slam the efforts in Iraq and promote stem cell research. These are all issues that resonate with Independents. If they take the long view for the next two years (appear reasonable, no personal attacks on the President, try to get Mideast peace talks on track, avoid raising taxes) then they'll get the Presidency in '08. That'll be when it gets interesting.

Remember the kiddy TV show "ROMPER ROOM"??
The House will be renamed "Ms Nancy's Romper Room".
