I'm not really sure myself. I'm sure that they track that information down at the schoolhouse in the form of demographics. From personal experience I know that there were quite a few older guys in the course with me from both the NG and RA.......senior E-7's from the RA side. I would think that its in the mid to upper 30's though...........

An O went through in my course - I think he was mid 40s - he made it too.

Use the search button before posting questions and ask the recruiter if you are serious.

I attempted to use the search but received negitive results, I spoke with a recruiter and was told at 44 I would never make it. I thought someone from this forum could shed some light if I am in error I am sorry.

Curious, I got 19 hits on my first try.
I suspect that what the recruiter told you was correct, since he gets paid to enlist people and those who would offer you opinions here do not. When you go down to get the contract done, were you going to tell him that you heard something different on the internet?
The Army recently raised their maximum age for enlistment to 42. IMHO, this is a bad idea for a number of reasons.
I would not want to be on a team with a guy who is close to my age, much less after he has 5-10 years of team time under his belt. By then, he will almost be eligible for Social Security. Too many liabilities, not enough advantages. Where were you for the past twenty years?
Please fill in your profile before you post again. Good luck.

Isn't Crip getting close? He's been in the pipeline for what, 2 full enlistments? He's going to be the best trained medic in SF, and he's going to get to a team with the best network ever for an FNG, he's going to know the entire SF community. (sorry, Crip - it's early morning, and that was way too easy) Keep charging Crip, Keep charging!!!

Not even close...
And as TR once told me, "you can never know to many people in this profession."

But, are you supposed to know everyone?

It took me a lil over two years. I should have just applied to medical school after graduating...
Stay safe.

I know a couple of guys who...
went through the course in their early 40's and made it, but they were freaks of nature. They were as fast and strong as the younger guys. They possessed an unbelievable amount of experience. We learned a ton from them, but the other guys who were around their age couldn't keep up and had really nothing to offer.
