Dual Citizenship

Hi, im an aussie. (Yes i've already introduced myself in the Introductions page)
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how i could obtain dual citizenship so that i would be both australian and an american citizen? Is it even possible?
I ask because i would like to experience USSF training at some point in my career.
Does anyone know of any international military exchange programs or anything?

Any info would be appreciated.
Thankyou,
Pete.

You will have to renounce your Australian citizenship at some point. I had to renounce my Russian citizenship in order to get my Secret clearance.

Your best bet is to join the Aussie SAS and apply for an exchange program.

Otherwise, it isn't happening.

Path to citizenship

1. Become a lawful permanent resident (get a green card)
2. Join the Army (infantry, engineer, medic or communications are the best bets)
3. Become an American citizen (you can do this within 3 years, it will give you time to learn important stuff like moving, shooting and communicating)
4. Apply for SFAS.

Good luck

My mate has dual NZ/American citizenship, but then, he isn't in the military of either country. He got to use his SSN for the first time in 21 years last year LOL.
