Interesting, but not a surprise. While I did not watch the pregame hype, and subsequent Aints win, I did see a few clips and quotes of the city still largely damaged and unlivable. So was our money well spent if the city is now razed and rebuilt to house upscale residents who enjoy quiet tree lined neighborhoods crime free, or are we just waiting for the taxpayers to build another Hooverville that Nagin can complain about in the next hurricane? I could care less actually, however there is a huge civic opportunity here for New Orleans to transform from the "Chocolate city" shanty town Ray Nagin and Kathleen Blanco exploited into a vibrant city with new everything (sewer systems, homes, levees etc) open to both tourists and retirees, et al. It's a shame to say it but I see N.O. going to the dogs-again. Helluva wasted opportunity.

You ask; What is our policy? I will say; “It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us: to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy.” You ask; What is our aim? I can answer with one word: Victory—victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival.-Winston Churchill
