MSG (ret) Jan Bitner

My good buddy Jan died this past Friday, July 28 while in OKC of an apparent heart attack.

Jan joined the Army in 1976 while just 17. He joined the Special Forces in 1982 spending a good part of that time in the old 12th SFGA in OKC. I was on Jan's team for 10 years.

Jan went active back in the late 90's and deployed to A-stan and Iraq. AFter retirement in 2004, he was hired by Dyncorp as a PPS. He had a couple of stints in A-stan while working for Dyncorp.

Jan was a good, dependable man and I'll miss him a great deal. The SF community lost a warrior well before his time.

I'll see you again buddy.
