Indiana's Kingsbury Shooting range

The Indiana DNR runs a very nice public outdoor rifle, pistol and shotgun range. It is located near Laporte IN. Its daily fee is 4.00 dollars, that is four dollars to shoot all day.

The address is 5344 S. Hupp rd, Laporte IN 46350 Phone: 219.393.1128

It has the following covered shooting positions:

18 Pistol 10-15-15m
10 built in benches for Rifle at 50m
5 built in benches at 100m
4 trap ranges with manual throwers

Target holders are provided. It has running water in the restrooms and ample parking. The range officer was strict yet very helpful.

Great for range shooting

I have been to the Kingsbury range and it is a really great setup. I have hunted there too and unfortunately would not recommend it. It gets really crowded and has a history of some wild stuff going on. When my son took the hunter safety course the conservation officer had the usual interesting stories about what not to do. Most of the stories involved folks that were hunting at Kingsbury. Too bad because it is a real nice piece of property.
