Here And There
Hope all of you are doing well. I am finally in place and loving it, as you can imagine. It's nice to drive the BMW again as well as my Durango...or anything other than a HMMWV (I have been properly schooled in how it is written...thanks, R).
At any rate....for those of you (there are many) that have supported me....thank you. The military can be tough to deal with and you have made that deployment a lot easier. I read the birthday greetings and was shocked (my family forgets) to see that you had remembered me. I am gratefull. If I could buy you all beer, I would....for those of you local...feel free to collect. For the out of towners...feel free to let me know when you are in town...the beer is on me!!!!

Iraq was never lost and Afghanistan was never quite the easy good war. Those in the media too often pile on and follow the polls rather than offer independent analysis. Campaign rhetoric and politics are one thing - the responsibility of governance is quite another.
