This is where I am at. Why do we even call them "illegals"?
Aren't they really "immigrants without legal papers who have better benefits than citizens"?
The word "illegal" means something to me.
If you are "illegal" you do not get a job.
If you are "illegal" you do not get paid.
If you are "illegal" you do not pay taxes.
If you are "illegal" you do not get tax refunds.
If you are "illegal" you do not get free education.
If you are "illegal" you do not get free healthcare.
If you are "illegal" you cannot rent or buy a place to live.
If you are "illegal" you are not able to open a bank account or any kind of account (utilities?) requiring a valid US ID.
If you are "illegal" you cannot get a credit card or establish credit.
If you are "illegal" you cannot vote.
With all of the rights and opportunities we've given "illegals", what's the point in being legal?
But as Billy L-bach always says, "It's probably just me...." I am sitting in my backyard with a glass of Woodford bourbon and a butterfly is trying to drink it. It appears this is not going to end well, but that's probably just my own naiveté..........
