Wow this thread brought back a lot of memories from the 90's. I was in 2/3 from 92-98. I never had one of the battalion Tshirts, but our team shirts were pretty retarded, yet not as retarded as some others. Dudes with weird shit dyed into their hair were not uncommon either.
Anyone remember when group sent out those flyers and asked that we draw up ideas for a new group coin? They got back pictures of a vetical penis with "Bend over and take it like a man" and "No dough we will go" under it, crossed spoons & forks with a vertical steak knife and "We do FID for food," and some others that sent group into an uproar, so they dropped that idea and created the "Hard times..." coins.
Speaking of the "Hard times don't last..." coins, remember when 2/3 had the female S4 who threw a shit fit about that coin? They actually stopped printing them for several years and went back to the one someone posted a photo of until finally someone had the balls to say screw it and make the Hard Times coins again.
I loved being in 2/3. We were pretty tight back in those days. We were a one big happy family for the most part. We sure had a blast going to the Caribbean, even though we paid to go, and we worked hard, played harder.
Also, rumor had it that all that taking our money and no TDY shit was hung on Kensinger, but was really the doing of Schroer who was DCO at the time. Kensinger was working on his PhD and Schroer was calling the shots, so the rumor had it.
Speaking of Schroer....does he now go by Diane? rofl Sorry I will not bring it up again, but that is a friggin riot.
