I just bought a bottle of this today. I'll post a review of it tomorrow, but it's supposed to be some of the best small batch Whiskey in the country. :munchin

Widmer Bros are very well respected in the brewing community and make some fabulous beers.

I'm not a big fan of the Widmers. I bought a case of their hefeweitzen when we first moved out here... it just didn't taste right. A few months later the wife brings home a 6 of it. Still not quite "right". I've been drinking a lot of the Fearless Brews and Rogue stuff lately. I've got a case of Rogue Imperial Stout in the fridge... that's some good stuff. Fat Tire and Black Butte Porter are the typical brews of choice though.
I didn't get a chance to try that whiskey tonight :( so the review is on for tomorrow.

Widmers Hefe is an American Hefe which will taste nothing at all like a German Hefe. It has less phenolics (the cinnamon, clove, banana, bubblegum flavors) that you would find in the German version.
Rogue's IS is a good beer and something that is always in the fridge, but you should try their Old Crustacean Barleywine!
